St James Church January 2013 Second Hand Book Sale
There will be a huge secondhand book sale on 5 - 6 January 2013 to help with fundraising for the St James’ Church Hall.
It is being held next door in the Drysdale Community Activity Centre, Collins St, Drysdale.
Times: Saturday 9–5 and Sunday 10–4

St James Church Hall Open Day 26 May
The open day will run from 10am to 4pm.
Everyone is invited to look around this wonderful new community facility now that it has finally been renovated and added to!
Craft stalls, cakes, slices, jams, preserves and refreshments will be available.

Drysdale Secondhand Book Sale tomorrow
Proceeds will go towards the rebuilding of the Church hall.
The annual second hand book sale will run from Saturday 7 Jan til Sunday 8 Jan. Specific times are:
Saturday 9am - 5pm
Sunday 10am - 4pm.
There will be a range of old and new books, fiction and non fiction, hard covers, paperbacks and large print books.
Also special interest magazines covering hobbies, collecting, home, fashion, cookery and gardening, comics and old sheet music.
Entry is free. Refreshments will be available. Be early !

St James Church Hall Restoration - Building works begun
Grants have been provided by Heritage Victoria ($50,000) and also from the State government's Developing Community Infrastructure program ($235,000).
However, extra funding is required to finish the project.

St James Anglican Church Annual Book Sale
On the weekend of January 8 and 9, 2011, St James Anglican Church in Collins Street, Drysdale, will be holding their annual second hand book sale.
Opening times are from 9am 5pm on the Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on the Sunday.

St James Church Second Hand Book Sale - We need your books to raise funds
So please help them to continue raising funds at their next Second Hand Book Sale.
The book sale will be held on January 8-9, 2011
Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm.
They need old and new books, fiction and non-fiction, hard covers, paperbacks and large print books (but please no school or university textbooks and no encyclopedias).
They can also use special interest magazines such as hobbies, collecting, home, fashion, cookery and gardening, comics and even old sheet music in good condition.

St James Church Building Committee Fundraisers
They are also planning a Wedding Dress parade on Saturday November 13 at the Springdale Neighbourhood house.

St James Church Hall Restoration Update
The Bellarine Times has reported (June 22, 2010 p.7) that Drysdale's St James Church Hall (1906) restoration project is progressing.
The estimated cost of the entire restoration is around $650,000. Plans costing around $50,000 have been already drawn up for the project.
Heritage Victoria have given a grant of $50,000 towards the project.

Bellarine Peninsula Melodaires next public event in Drysdale
On Saturday, May 8 - the Melodaires will perform at the St James Anglican Church in Drysdale to help raise funds for the rennovation of the Church hall.
The group has 10 members, an organist and a drummer.
Their latest show features songs sung by Roy Orbison, Shirley Bassey and other performers from the 1960s and 1970s.

There will be 3 car boot sales at St James Church, Collins Street Drydsale on the last Saturdays of March, April and May this year. the first will be on Saturday March 27 from 8am - 12 moon.
