On Friday July 23, I posted an item asking if anyone else had experienced air in their water pipes and wondered if Barwon Water was turning the water off and not telling any one.
I was very surprised, when I received a phone call late on Monday afternoon from Barwon Water - it appears they read this blog!
And yes the water was turned off on July 21 between 10am and 4pm. We were supposed to be notified of the work at least a few days prior - but we were not.
I was informed by a very nice customer relations spokesman from Barwon Water that about a year ago Barwon Water outsourced their water work notification service to Australia Post and that every now and then some one misses out on the notification - it appears it was my turn.
Barwon Water was considering posting a response on this blog regarding what had happened, but they must have decided against it. That is a shame, it would be nice to see them engaging with their customers in this open forum.
So at least the mystery has been solved and yes I still have air in the water pipes, but it is slowly getting better.
